Don’t Run From Pain or Injury

When those minor pains first crop up, it’s tempting to push through. Before you know it, you’re piling on more rest days, altering your training routine, and experimenting with over-the-counter remedies. All you really want is to hit the pavement again — and we understand.

Rediscover the joy of pain-free running with the support of a physical therapist who shares your passion for running, too.

How is Physical Therapy for Runners Different?

Reaching a full recovery and returning to pain-free running requires runner-specific exercises. Clamshells and leg lifts just won’t cut it! Through runner-specific exercises, you’ll stabilize imbalances and teach your body how to fix the root cause of injury for good.

I am 73 years old and my experience with the Buffalo Rehab Group has been extremely positive. The reason why I went to them for treatment was that my right hip was causing such pain that it was waking me up three or four times a night. After eight weeks of treatment my pain has been virtually eliminated. The therapist assigned to me is very knowledgeable and caring. The organization is absolutely a five star in my book and I highly recommend them.

Just an all-around very positive experience. Easy to get an appointment with my PT of choice (Steve the running guru!), very friendly and helpful office staff. I felt welcome from the first visit. Steve Gonser is fantastic and was able to figure out what was going on with my leg on the first visit and gave me some relief almost right away! Dan, who also worked with me, is also great – very kind, a calming presence. I'm looking forward to finishing up my round and get back to running again. I also really like that parking is easy and that the facilities are spacious and modern, but comfortable and well-appointed with all kinds of equipment!

I would highly recommend Buffalo Rehab Group. I have attended there twice and have been very satisfied with the care received. I was very involved in my treatment plans and ongoing evaluation helped me understand my progress. Exercises for home did not require special equipment. Staff were readily available for one on one attention and interns were assigned as needed. Hours were very convenient and very little wait time for equipment.
