Melissa Bulas-Mercuri, PT DPT FAFS

Melissa, a native of Lancaster, NY, attended Nazareth College in Rochester, NY, where she earned her Doctorate in Physical Therapy. Her journey with Buffalo Rehab Group began in 2015. Melissa’s introduction to physical therapy came after multiple gymnastics injuries, and she instantly fell in love with the field. What she loves most is the impact she can make in people’s lives by helping them regain their function and return to the activities they enjoy.

Throughout her upbringing, Melissa was actively involved in sports, including softball, track, and volleyball. However, her favorite sport has always been gymnastics. She dedicated many years to competitive gymnastics at Gymnastics Sports Academy until an injury prevented her from competing. Her passion for gymnastics lived on, and she continued to share her love for the sport by coaching during high school and college.

Currently, Melissa resides in Depew, NY, with her husband, Jeff, their son Charlie, and their rescue dog, Mona. Beyond her professional life, Melissa and her husband embrace the opportunity to explore all that Buffalo has to offer. They enjoy leisurely walks with Mona in local parks, passionately support Buffalo’s sports teams, and attend musicals at Shea’s. Her love for travel has taken her to many states across the US, with Myrtle Beach, SC, ranking as her favorite destination.
