Amidst celebrating 25 years in practice, Buffalo Rehab Group plans to continue our growth by the addition of a seventh office. Starting 25 years ago, Patrick O’Connor, Paula Zablonski, and Marty Lambert, three Ithaca alum and classmates, set out to create a distinctive and independent practice that would aim to provide the best patient outcomes and satisfaction. Private ownership has led us to where we are today. Without an affiliation to a physicians group or hospital, Buffalo Rehab Group would not only survive, but thrive on a commitment to quality and word of mouth growth.
Buffalo Rehab Group will return to where it all started for founder and President Patrick O’Connor: East Aurora. Living in East Aurora for over 37 years, Patrick and wife Andrea raised all four of their children in the quaint suburb. With close ties to East Aurora Cross Country, Patrick’s children all competed on Championship Cross Country teams.
“East Aurora is a natural fit for Buffalo Rehab Group. I have worked at our main West Seneca office for over 25 years of my 28 years in practice” Patrick says. Adding, “it seems natural to come back home to the unique East Aurora community and provide convenience to patients and friends who have made the trip down the 400 to seek treatment.”
“East Aurora is a natural fit for Buffalo Rehab Group.
Although Buffalo Rehab Group has received referrals from over 600 unique physicians, our largest referrals continue to rest on the shoulders of our patients. Patrick explains, “We have grown to seven offices across WNY with 30 providers simply by believing in the motto ‘the science of healing and the art of caring.’ Buffalo Rehab Group has truly grown in the WNY communities by word of mouth, which is the true measure of quality.”
Buffalo Rehab Group’s seventh location is rich with history. Located within the first schoolhouse in East Aurora dating back to 1830, Buffalo Rehab Group will be opening its doors at the prior West End Gallery. “We are committed to maintaining the charm that has been sustained since being built in 1800,” Patrick states. “We are fully aware of the responsibility that comes with the building. Don and Michelle Vogel have been instrumental in helping us transform and transition their beautiful building as our grand opening date approaches.”
Joining Patrick is Southtown’s native Tiffany Regdos (Maskulinski). Growing up in Elma and attending Iroquois Schools, Tiffany was an accomplished pole vaulter, competing in Division 1 Athletics at Washington State University and the University at Buffalo. Tiffany graduated with her Doctorate in Physical Therapy from UB and continues to volunteer with the UB Bulls Track and Field Program.
Both Patrick and Tiffany are excited to be returning to their southern tier roots. Buffalo Rehab Group is excited as a whole. As an organization, we are humbled and grateful for the opportunities that Western New York has laid before us. Our commitment to quality and functional care will always drive our decision making as an organization.
