Two Total-Body Exercises

Want exercises that improve your health, build strength, and prevent injury?  The two exercises below are a perfect add-on to your routine.

Here’s what you need to know:
Most exercises isolate muscle groups to build strength. Unfortunately, in your daily life, muscles are never isolated.

Muscles fire in sequences to help you complete day-to-day tasks. For this reason, it’s important that you also train muscles in sequences — called “functional training.”

Besides helping your daily life, functional training can also help you burn more calories and save time.

All you need to get started is a piece of exercise tubing or cable machine.  Exercise tubing is ideal as it’s inexpensive, travels easily, and doesn’t take up any room in your home.

Take a look at the video below.

Outlined are two exercises that you can use today to enhance your exercise routine.

Try These Exercises

These two exercises are great for improving shoulder and back strength.

Start with one to three sets of ten, depending on your current level of strength.  Different color bands represent different resistance.  Here’s a list from easy-to-hard:

  1.  Yellow
  2. Red
  3. Green
  4. Blue
  5. Black
  6. Grey

Why Previous Patients Recommend Buffalo Rehab Group

I started here for PT after my shoulder repair and have had nothing short of an excellent experience. My recovery process has not been an easy one but, I am extremely fortunate to have the team at BRG behind me to get my shoulder back to where I need it to be. I could have never imagined being where I am 3 months post-op, I highly recommend!

Sarah

I was taking my daughter to Buffalo Rehab for migraines. Lindsay Bilson was amazing. My daughter felt comfortable with her. She taught her many different exercises and stretches to relieve tension for headaches. I highly suggest going to see her. We still practice these stretches at home when needed. She is very approachable and even sends emails with additional info.

Connie

The staff at Buffalo Rehab Group is wonderful. I am able to get appointments that fit my busy schedule, and the therapists are very knowledgeable. I am very happy with the care they provide….so much so I’ve taken other family members there too.

Heidi

Just an all-around very positive experience. Easy to get an appointment with my PT of choice, very friendly and helpful office staff. I felt welcome from the first visit.

Amy

I was welcomed from the minute I walked in the door. Each and every staff member has gone above and beyond my expectations, the best PT experience I have had. I would recommend them to anyone!
