Frequently Asked Questions

Will my insurance cover telehealth physical therapy?

Yes.  Since the 2020 COVID-19, insurances have begun reimbursing for telehealth physical therapy to protect those they insure.   Some insurances are waiving patient co-pays and deductible payments to receive treatment through telehealth.  This allows you to receive care for injuries, surgery, or limitations — and significantly reducing your risk for COVID-19 exposure.

Do I need a referral to get started?

No.  In 2006, New York State passed a law allowing a Physical Therapist to evaluate and begin treatment on patients for 10 visits or 30 days.  

What precautions are in place to combat COVID-19?

All of our locations are exceeding CDC standards to maximize the safety of our patients.  Facial coverings are mandatory when social distancing is not possible, our cleaning schedule is thorough and regular, and touchless sanitizing stations are available.

Can I switch between in-clinic and telehealth appointments?

Yes.  You may choose to only have telehealth appointments, in-clinic appointments, or a combination of both.  Our Physical Therapists and teams are flexible and fully trained to help you both in the clinic and through video confrencing.
