Relieve Pelvic Pain & Discomfort

In the video below, Buffalo Rehab Group Director of Pelvic Health, Dr. Mary Roberts, PT DPT CLT, shows you how to perform the “Happy Baby” stretch to help relieve pelvic pain.

The “Happy Baby” stretch is one you may be familiar with if you practice yoga.

To perform this stretch, lay on your back and bring your knees to your chest. Make sure your knees are wider than shoulder width.

Grab your legs either in front of the knees, behind the knees, or at your ankles – depending on how flexible you are. Let your legs fall to the side, pulling gently.

Hold this stretch for at least 30 seconds, while focusing on taking slow, deep breaths.

Don’t let pelvic pain slow you down.
